    Community Partnership Team:
    Our Community Partnership Team are key to achieving our vision, designed to unlock the potential of our communities. The Community Managers deliver bespoke Housing and tenancy management services for residents on our estates, working with some of our most vulnerable households and communities to provide the additional support to residents to manage their tenancy, property and estates. Working with partners across the council and the community. Our Community Management Team support residents irrespective of tenure, and work with residents to resolve and overcome complex challenges.
    Through this newly created team, residents facing the greatest challenges in their life will have a single point of contact, who will guide, support, coach and empower them to carry out tasks associated with independent living, maximise access to benefits to ensure tenancy sustainment, reduce rent arrears and other debt, minimise anti-social behaviour, ensure residents have access to healthcare, arrange and facilitate access to community resources and social interaction, and actively work with residents to minimise social isolation. The Community Manager will also provide a comprehensive property management function, carrying out block and estate inspections to ensure our properties meet all essential health and safety requirements.
    The Community Manager will be based on the Joyce and Snells Estate on Fore Street, Edmonton, which is currently undergoing a major regeneration programme. The postholder will work closely with the Decant and Regeneration teams to help identify and support households through the rehousing process. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their understanding of regeneration and the practical delivery of decanting within a large-scale regeneration project, without line-management responsibility.
    The successful candidate will be joining a team of six community managers and will report to the Community Partnership Team Manager. You must have a passion for helping residents and community development and be able to remain professional and non-judgmental when dealing with complex needs and case work. The Community Manager will also need to be able to address local concerns and work with internal and external stakeholders to provide local solutions.
    The successful candidate will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings and provide out of hours cover when required.
    In summary, this role involves working in high-risk environments, including areas affected by sexual exploitation, organised crime, squatting, and substance misuse. The work regularly includes late-night operations, joint activity with police (including enforcement visits), patrols with residents, and monitoring empty properties where there is a known risk of confrontation. As such, the post requires high physical confidence, situational authority awareness, and capacity to safely engage in hostile or volatile environments, alongside close partnership working with Enfield Council partners and police.
    NB: There are no line-management or supervisory duties attached to this role.
