    Salary: £24,796 to £25,185 per annum

    Contract Type: Fixed term 16 month apprenticeship. Final start and end dates will be agreed with the successful candidate.

    Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)

    Location: County Hall, West Street, Chichester, PO19 1RQ

    Interview Date: week commencing 08/12/2025

    This unique opportunity combines practical, hands-on experience with focused self-study, enabling you to develop both personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will last 16 months, during which approximately 20% of your working week will be allocated to studying.

    You will be required to attend workshops at the training provider's specialized training centre in Chichester.

    You will undertake and complete various components of a Level 3 Business Administration. For more details about this apprenticeship, please refer to Business administrator / Skills England.

    We will provide you with the flexibility and support to learn while you work, but you will need to have the commitment and dedication necessary to successfully balance your studies with your day-to-day role.

    The role will offer hybrid working arrangements where at least 2 days per week based at a County Hall, Chichester will be required. Up to 3 days can be worked from home. Final arrangements to be confirmed with successful candidate.

    Insight to the role

    Our work in the Communities Directorate and any given day can often feel quite different from the next! There will be some key responsibilities likely to feature in this role, including:

    • Completing all learning commitments in support of the apprenticeship programme.
    • Focusing on data recording, analysis, looking at trends, creating statistical information/reports, while informing data led evidence to identify areas for continuous improvement opportunities across the varied teams within RRMS.
    • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders regularly.
    • Supporting operational and project meetings.
    • Collaborating effectively within teams, offering thoughtful challenges, reflecting on experiences, providing constructive feedback, and respecting diverse perspectives.
    • Undertake a variety of tasks efficiently and effectively across all teams within the service. This includes collecting and organizing data and management information, recording and updating records, maintaining electronic filing systems, and using programs like MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

    Required qualifications and skills

    • Five GCSE passes at Grade C (4-9) or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent vocational qualification or the willingness to complete Functional Skills qualifications in English and maths as part of the apprenticeship.
    • Previous experience in following instructions to successfully complete a task, such as completing an assignment within the specified timeframe.
    • Literacy and numeracy skills to interpret diverse written instructions describing tasks or conveying complex messages.
    • Able to meet deadlines and utilize initiative to complete a variety of tasks or activities.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively exchange information with a range of audiences.
    • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software and databases, as well as experience with photocopying, scanning, and internet research.
