    The Education Commissioning Team are seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to take on the role of Commissioning Support Officer. You will join a friendly, hardworking and committed team within the Children and Families Directorate.


    Main Responsibilities

    You will:

    • provide support to the whole Education Commissioning team on a range of commissioning activities covering education, special educational needs and disabilities, and alternative provision.
    • oversee the use of AV1 Robots, as an education tool, managing the allocation of AV1 Robots, monitoring usage and supporting internal staff and schools with information on AV1's.
    • provide administrative and analytical support and support the administrative processes involved in the alternative provision dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for children accessing alternative provision including:

        • monitor attendance of children and young people on alternative provision.
        • develop and analyse surveys
        • complete data entry and processing data
          • carry out the day-to-day administration of the Alternative Provision Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).
    The Ideal Candidate

    You'll need:

    • NVQ III in Business Administration (or equivalent) or previous experience in business administration.
    • ICT skills including a working knowledge of Excel, data collection and analysis techniques
    • organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
    • to enjoy working with a range of different practitioners and most importantly want to help improve outcomes for children and young people.
