    About the role

    A new integrated commissioning model will commence from April 1st 2026 and bring together adult social care, public health and education in this exciting and innovative new model of commissioning.

    Drug and alcohol commissioning involves strategically planning, funding and overseeing services (prevention, treatment, recovery) for people affected by substance misuse. It focuses on integrated, evidence-based care, making the most of community assets to improve public health outcomes.

    The role will utilise the whole of the commissioning cycle and will be proactive in bringing about improved outcomes for the people of West Northamptonshire.

    You will need to be able to work under pressure and be extremely well organised, taking a pro-active approach to your workload. We’ll need you to have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, project work and be able to ensure work is carried out to a high standard. With highly developed interpersonal skills, you will be confident in developing and delivery communications to a variety of stakeholders. You’ll be competent in Microsoft packages and data analysis as well.
