Commercial Development Assistant

Barnsley Museums is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Commercial Development Assistant to join our team and help shape the future of our commercial offer across our museum sites.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in the museums' commercial sector who is passionate about delivering high-quality event experiences and has a flair for creative marketing and product development.

What You’ll Do:

• Support Barnsley Museums commercial vision with a primary focus on event hire.
• Identify and develop income-generating opportunities across our sites.
• Contribute fresh ideas and energy to enhance our commercial activities.
• Work independently and collaboratively to drive commercial success.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a commercial role within the museums or heritage sector.
• Strong administrative skills and a confident, well-organised approach.
• Excellent communication skills and a creative mindset.
• A passion for heritage, retail, and visitor engagement.
