    About the Job

    To develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive children’s health service that is aimed at continuously improving standards of health and social care for a defined practice population, and facilitating multi- professional working.

    This will be achieved through clinical practice, management, education, research and audit and of professional activities taking into account the London Borough of Newham (LBN) corporate and directorate objectives for children and families underpinned by sound clinical governance framework and the key principles of Health Visiting:

    • Search for health needs

    • Stimulation of awareness of health needs

    • Influence on policies affecting health

    • Facilitation of health enhancing activities

    • Collaborative working

    About You

    The candidate must be/will have:

    • Degree level in Nursing/ Midwifery or equivalent/professional qualification
    • NMC Registered – Professional nursing, midwifery (SCPHN) qualification
    • Be able to assess effectively, manage risk and plan in an outcome focused way.
    • Be confident in delivering and willing to improve upon effective direct work interventions with families.
    • Remain focused on your own continuous professional development.
    • Strive to share learning and collaborate with practitioners and multi-agency partners to achieve outcomes for children and their families.
