Following recent refocus and investment in additional resources, we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Planning Policy, Economy and Climate Change Service as a CLIF Grant Funding Coordinator!
Our Community Led Infrastructure Fund (CLIF) Programme is a brand-new £2,000,000 capital fund, backed by monies collected from developers through our Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). This fund is designed to support small and medium-scale locally led projects across the district, helping to create vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive communities. This new programme will help meet the needs of communities and will support the delivery of the Council Strategy.
The programme will support projects to create fit for multipurpose community buildings, cultural infrastructure, sustainable and warm community spaces, greening the district and sports, leisure and recreational infrastructure.
What will you be doing?
- The postholder will lead the development, implementation, promotion, and monitoring of the Council’s CLIF Programme.
- You will act as the main point of contact and adviser for CLIF, providing professional and technical input on matters relating to the fund.
- The postholder will coordinate the CLIF officer working group and support the development and submission of funding bids.
- Liaise with internal teams such as Legal and Finance to manage funding awards and ensure compliance.
- Promote the CLIF Programme through marketing campaigns and social media.
- Prepare reports and provide briefings to the Head of Service and other stakeholders.
- Ensure effective project management, including budget management and risk assessment.
What do you need?
- Experience of working with a wide range of partners and organisations on grant funding programmes.
- Project management experience with evidence of successful project delivery.
- Knowledge of grant funding processes and grant funding agreements which require Legal and Finance input.
- Considerable experience of partnership working including the ability to form productive relationships with a range of individuals, groups and organisations.
