About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and friendly Clerical Officer to join our school office team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office and will often be the first point of contact for parents, visitors and staff.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy school environment.
The Clerical Officer will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical support, helping to maintain efficient office systems and accurate school records.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide general clerical and administrative support including word processing, photocopying, filing and document preparation.
• Maintain accurate pupil and staff records using manual and digital systems.
• Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents and telephone enquiries.
• Process invoices and support the school’s financial administration.
• Collect and record monies received such as dinner money and school trip payments.
• Maintain school databases and prepare documentation for pupil reports and statistical returns.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail and distribute appropriately.
• Maintain office supplies and equipment.
• Support staff with administrative tasks and preparation of resources.
