    Records and Land Charges are a small but dedicated team that carry out a variety of essential work within Coventry City Council. We undertake the statutory function of maintaining the Local Land Charges Register and providing searches for 3rd party solicitors on behalf of prospective property owners. The team also provides a centralised records and archive service, managing the storage and retrieval of a wide range of documents for Legal Services.

    What is the job role?

    Based in the Friargate 1 building, you will undertake a full range of administrative and clerical tasks to support the varied work of the team. Responding to queries via telephone and e-mail, entering new and removing old charges from the register, and preparing searches of the register for our customers. You will also support Legal Services with the archiving and retrieval of Legal Documents.

    Who are we looking for?

    We are looking for a friendly, positive and well organised individual who can demonstrate strong IT skills and be confident working with a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office. They must possess good written and verbal communication, and a polite and efficient telephone manner. They must be able to work independently, organise and prioritise their own workload, and work flexibly with their colleagues to overcome daily challenges.
