We are recruiting a Clerical Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st March 2028
Location: Tir y Berth Depot

Team: Waste Strategy and Operations


This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

An opportunity has arisen to work in a high profile service area collating, coordinating and reporting key information on the Authority's Waste and Recycling Service.

The role involves dealing with operational supervisors and recycling officers to engage, educate and enforce, all with the aim to achieve the challenging high level recycling targets set by Welsh Government.

The postholder must have experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or similar IT software to carry out work that involves word processing, spreadsheets and presentation graphics.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • 5 GCSEs Grade A*-C (including Maths and English) or equivalent or a relevant Level 2 qualification/s on the Credit and Qualification Framework for Wales. For example Administration.
  • The ability to provide clerical support across a diverse range of functions.
  • Experience in administration.
