    The South Essex Parking Partnership (SEPP), led by Chelmsford City Council, is seeking dedicated and customer-focused individuals to join our team in Brentwood as Civil Enforcement Officers.

    This role is advertised as full-time working 37 hours per week, with standard shifts running Monday to Saturday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, plus the option for overtime during out-of-hours periods. However, if you’re interested in part-time hours, please note this in your application.

    A Civil Enforcement Officer helps maintain safe and efficient traffic flow by patrolling parking areas, providing public information on parking, and issuing penalty charge notices where appropriate. The role involves both independent and team working.

    Applicants must possess a full UK manual driving licence and experience working with the public in a customer-facing role. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. While not mandatory, experience in an enforcement environment and knowledge of parking enforcement objectives would be an advantage.

    The role requires flexibility to work early or late shifts and outdoors in all weather conditions.
