About the role

This post is for 32 hours per week, 9am to 3pm, Monday to Wednesday and 9am to 4pm Thursday and Friday. This contract is for all year round, fixed term until 31 March 2026.

NJC Grade 1 – £12.65 per hour

Are you who we are looking for to join our team of childcare professionals at Oasis Nursery, Oasis Community Centre, Wisbech? We are busier than ever and looking to expand our team.

What will you be doing?

You'll play a key role in working as part of our nursery team. You will predominately be offering support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or other identified requirements, as well as helping to deliver our curriculum to all children. You will be implementing the children’s individual development plans to help them achieve their full potential and offer engaging and purposeful experiences that are appropriate to the children’s age and stage of development.

You will ensure that children’s well-being and safety is always at the forefront. You will be an important member of the team, ensuring that the nursery is compliant with the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Requirements and Cambridgeshire County Council policies and procedures.

About you

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual who will work closely with the rest of the team and give children the best experiences while they are in the nursery. You will have a flexible approach to adapt to the dynamic needs of the nursery. You will be willing to undertake necessary training, including Child Protection and Paediatric First Aid.

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
