Salary: £25,995 - £26,409 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Working Hours: 18.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role
Best Start Family Hubs bring together services that support children, young people, and families across Leicestershire. We are looking for a proactive, friendly, and organised Centre Support Assistant to help ensure our Family Hubs are welcoming, well‑run, and responsive to the needs of our communities.
As a Centre Support Assistant, you will be a key first point of contact for families visiting the Hub. You’ll help create a warm, inclusive environment and provide essential administrative and practical support to the team delivering early help, health, and family services.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.
An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.

About You
To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:
- NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification in literacy and numeracy. Numeracy skills sufficient to collate statistical information and literacy skills to produce high‑quality written materials suitable for different audiences.
- Administration experience, including: reception duties, message taking and relaying, maintaining record systems, producing electronic reports and correspondence, and data entry using spreadsheets.
- Ability to work well in a multi‑disciplinary team and with a range of professionals.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and effective use of social media for communication. Full understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of local safeguarding procedures and how to apply them to protect children and vulnerable adults.
- Clear communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to engage confidently engage with parents, young people, and children. Knowledge of social media and effective ways of communication.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to produce accurate work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
