Our Team:
The CCTV Operator is an essential part of Halton’s Community Safety team responsible for the continuous monitoring of public spaces via the Council’s Control Room. Working closely with the CCTV Supervisor and CCTV Manager, you will play a direct role in protecting public areas, deterring crime, and supporting the police and other emergency services. By responding swiftly to incidents, directing resources, and assisting in identifying offenders, you will help to reduce anti-social behaviour and enhance public safety, giving peace of mind to Halton’s residents.
This role requires a vigilant, proactive, and dedicated individual who is ready to make a real difference in the community. As a first point of contact for a range of incidents, you will be central to creating a safer environment for our residents, businesses and visitors.

Hours: 24 per week Rota Basis


Your Contributions:
As a CCTV Operator, you will:

  • Monitor the Council’s CCTV systems
  • Respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls
  • Work alongside Cheshire Police to ensure timely, effective responses to incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records and incident logs, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, policies and operating procedures.
