Join Lancaster City Council as a Casual Health & Fitness Assistant and play a vital role in delivering a safe, professional, and member-focused Health & Fitness programme. Your work will enhance the wellbeing of our community by providing tailored fitness sessions and creating a welcoming environment that supports our commitment to equality, safety, and sustainability.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll engage with members both in person and online, promoting our services through events and social media. Delivering safe and effective fitness programmes, you’ll supervise gym users, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and ensure equipment is well cared for. Your role includes membership sales, administrative support, and staying up to date with fitness trends to continually improve the member experience.
You’ll Fit Right In If…
You hold a Gym Instructor Level 2 qualification and have experience working on the gym floor and delivering classes. You’re confident using leisure management systems and communicating clearly in English. You share our values of Working Together, Ambition, Pride, and Ownership, and are committed to creating a friendly, professional atmosphere. Please note, this role requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
