Chelmsford City Council operates four leisure centres across the city, offering a wide range of sport and leisure activities for all ages. During the school holidays, we run City Camps; a fun-filled, engaging camp for children aged 4–7 and 8–12, designed to introduce them to exciting new activities in a safe and supportive environment.
Chelmsford City Council is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to lead our City Camps during the school holidays at Riverside Leisure Centre. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about working with children and helping them thrive. Confident communication and excellent customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to tailor activities to suit a variety of ages, abilities, and interests. A sports leadership or coaching qualification is also essential.
As a Camp Leader, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering a variety of fun, active, and inclusive sessions for children aged 4–7 and 8–12. You’ll help create a safe and engaging environment where every child feels encouraged, supported, and excited to take part.

This post is offered on a casual basis and the successful applicants will be required to work predominantly during the school holidays, but additional sessions maybe available during school term times and weekends.
