We are recruiting a Caretaker at Cwmaber Junior School.

Working hours: 30 hours per week, Monday- Friday,

6:30am-9:30am and 3:00pm-6:00pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: Cwmaber Junior School

We pay an attractive salary of £20,240.27 (FTE £25,185) and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The Federated Governing Body of Cwmaber Infants and Junior Schools is looking to appoint a caretaker, based in the junior school, but also be able to provide cover for the infants, if required.

The successful candidate will carry out a range of duties to ensure safety, security, maintenance and cleanliness of the site and premises. The successful candidate will:

  • be an experienced cleaner / caretaker or experienced within building maintenance with a range of practical skills.
  • have good verbal communication skills when dealing with both children and adults • possess a firm understanding of health and safety procedures / issues.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Cleaning and support services N/SVQ Level 1 OR equivalent experience or equivalent qualification, or willingness to train to achieve these
  • Handyperson experience
  • Willingness to gain knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical and decorating repair procedures
