Caretaker (with cleaning duties)

Thank you for taking the time to look at becoming part of our vibrant junior school. The governors and I are looking to appoint a friendly, proficient caretaker/cleaner for June 2026.

The role is for 22.5 hours a week to be worked 7-9am in the morning with 2.5 hours to be worked from 3:15-5:45pm each day. (Please note: the role could be split between two people if you are looking for less hours, please include this in your application form.)

The successful person would need to work independently, opening the school in the mornings and closing at the end of the day carrying out daily checks on the school site to ensure it is safe for children to enter and completing general DIY tasks. In the afternoon, you would then be cleaning the site ready for the children to come into the school the following day, toilets, classrooms and offices.
