    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Careers and Participation Service supporting young people who are at risk of not continuing in learning when they leave statutory education and young people who are Not in Employment Education or Training (NEET). The successful applicant will also deliver careers guidance services in schools as part of our commercial careers offer to schools.

    We have 2 vacancies, 1x in Stafford and South Staffordshire (29.6hrs per week), and 1x in Chase and Lichfield (37hrs per week).

    We are looking to recruit a Level 6 Qualified Careers Adviser, or someone who is working towards the level 6 in Careers Guidance, with significant experience of careers guidance in a school or college setting.

    Main Responsibilities

    You will work with a wide range of young people, from those who are disaffected to those who are gifted and talented, providing them with careers guidance and transition support to enable them to successfully participate in post 16 learning and maximise their future potential.

    This will include:

    • Delivery of one to one and group careers guidance interventions in education and community settings
    • Developing and managing effective relationships with school staff and other appropriate professionals
    • Promoting and growing the commercial careers guidance offer to education providers
    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone:

    • who is able to engage and work with a wide range of young people, from those who are disaffected to those who are gifted and talented.
    • that has strong time management skills, to enable you to manage a caseload of young people and education providers to meet objectives.
    • who can develop and manage working relationships with key staff in schools and with other professionals who are working young people on your caseload.
