PLANNING ASSISTANT / PLANNING OFFICER – DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

Salary: Grade E (with progression to Grade F)
Grade E £29,093 to £32,654 per year (pay award pending)
Grade F £33,366 to £37,035 per year (pay award pending)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Team Location: Long Eaton Town Hall, Derby Road, Long Eaton, Derbyshire, NG10 1HU

About the Role
Join our proactive and customer-focused Development Management team as a Planning Assistant or Planning Officer, depending on your qualifications:

Graduate Entry (Planning Assistant):
- Day-release to complete a fully funded postgraduate planning qualification*
- Start on Grade E salary with progression to Grade F Planning Officer upon successful completion.

Postgraduate Entry (Planning Officer):
- Direct appointment for candidates with a relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience.

About You

You will need to have an understanding and knowledge of current planning legislation, hold a Diploma or Degree in Town Planning (or relevant equivalent) and be a member (or eligible for membership) of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
