This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting statutory SEND functions while working as part of a dedicated and supportive team. About the RoleAs a Business Support Officer, you will provide efficient, accurate and effective administrative and business support across the SEND & Inclusion Service. You will support a range of statutory and non-statutory processes, helping ensure children, young people, families, schools and professionals receive a high-quality service. Key responsibilities include:• Providing comprehensive administrative and business support across the service. • Managing telephone enquiries, correspondence and shared mailboxes. • Maintaining accurate records and databases in accordance with GDPR and information governance requirements. • Supporting Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment processes, Annual Reviews, SEND casework and panel administration. • Monitoring service timescales and statutory deadlines. • Coordinating meetings, consultations and events, including preparing documentation and taking minutes where required. • Producing reports, spreadsheets, letters and other documentation using Microsoft Office and specialist systems. • Working collaboratively with colleagues, schools, families and partner agencies to support effective service delivery. About YouWe are looking for someone who has:Essential• English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above (or equivalent experience). • Experience of maintaining accurate records and data systems. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet statutory deadlines. • Excellent attention to detail. • Experience of working in a fast-paced customer-focused environment. • The ability to build effective working relationships with partners and professionals. • Experience of working independently and as part of a team. • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. • An awareness of safeguarding and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.Desirable• Level 3 Business Administration qualification or experience gained within a similarly demanding environment.• An understanding of children and young people with SEND and their families.
