1x Business Support Officer, Full time – Fixed term until 31/03/2030
The Business Support Officer will be expected to offer support across the service to help the Employment and Skills Service meet the contractual requirements of our funders, including Pathways to Work and Adult Skills Fund.

The Employment and Skills Service is partially funded by the Council and partially via external government funding. The South Yorkshire Pathways to Work commission alongside the Adult Skills Fund, will offer a continuum of support to help young people and adults get ready for, get into, and get on in work.

Your role in our journey
As a Business Support Officer for the Contract, Compliance and Funding Service you will be expected to deal with telephone and face to face enquiries providing advice, guidance, signposting and support to internal and external customers. You will also be required to input, check and maintain a variety of electronic and paper-based systems, ensuring information is accurate, fully compliant and stored appropriately
The ideal candidate/s will be organised, have the ability to manage and prioritise, have an eye for detail and quality and knowledge of compliance and be good at building and maintaining partnerships. They will understand the importance of delivering employment and skills programmes to improve local outcomes and how this links to wider policy and strategy. They will understand the benefits of ongoing service/systems improvement to support best practice and service infrastructure. They will recognise and actively seek to promote and demonstrate the Council’s and Service’s core values. They must be customer focused and confident when dealing with the public.
What you’ll need
A Level 2 qualification in a related area. You will need to demonstrate skills and have experience in relation to essential criteria included within the attached Job Profile.

Salary range
- £26,403 - £28,142 per year
