Business Support Manager
-
Permanent – Full time
Location: Albert Road & Thackeray Drive
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Support Manager to lead a busy Business Support Team delivering vital support to frontline Children’s Services across two sites in the Ilford area.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Redbridge’s Ofsted-rated Outstanding Children’s Services at a time of significant innovation and progress. Redbridge has been at the forefront of implementing the new Families First Partnership (FFP) reforms, helping to shape a model that is now influencing social care practice across the UK.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience of managing staff, solving problems, making sound decisions, and working on their own initiative. Strong IT and communication skills are essential, along with a demonstrable ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partners.
You will lead a team that supports a number of frontline services, each with different priorities and demands. This role therefore requires a leader who is curious, adaptable, and committed to supporting staff through change while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
The role offers hybrid working, although a regular office presence will be needed to support the team effectively. During the initial period in post, a greater on-site presence will be required to help establish relationships and provide hands-on leadership.
