
Business Support Assistant
Make a Difference Behind the Scenes
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Home Manager and residential team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of services that deliver safe, high-quality care to children and young people. Your work will directly contribute to positive outcomes by providing efficient, professional administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, databases, and filing systems in line with statutory and organisational requirements
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Registered Manager and residential team
- Manage correspondence, emails, telephone enquiries, and visitors with professionalism and confidentiality
- Coordinate meetings, training sessions, audits, and inspections
- Prepare reports, letters, minutes, and other documentation as required
- Support staff administration, including recruitment processes, onboarding, rota coordination, and training records
- Process invoices and purchase orders, and monitor expenditure in line with financial procedures
- Maintain compliance records for inspections and internal quality assurance
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment for children, families, professionals, and visitors
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in an administrative or business support role
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Able to manage competing priorities and work independently
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality
- Passionate about supporting services that improve outcomes for children and young people
This is a role based in Birmingham so you must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham and have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.
