    Business Support is key to the success of our Fostering Services, our Business Support teams are there, making sure things run smoothly, so that our frontline colleagues can deliver for our foster families.

    We have an opportunity for two Business Support Assistants, working within The Fostering Business Support Service.  

    Both roles are a full-time 37-hour permanent position. We are looking for someone to provide a high level of business support administration to our Fostering Teams. 

    The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8.30-17.00 and Friday 8.30-16.30.

    You'll be predominantly office based, although some hybrid working is arranged on a rota basis dependant on the demands of the service.  

    Main Responsibilities

    In this role you'll:

    • provide core business functions in addition to working closely with the team, including the team manager and social workers.
    • you will need full knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to utilise the main applications.
    • you’ll chase workers for paperwork to make sure work is completed to the required deadlines.
    • input data in our database, sharing data and helping to ensure the data base is up to date and ensuring its accurate by cleansing data as and when needed.

    In addition, there will be the opportunity to support wider more generic office functions to support the delivery of all business support services.  

    The Ideal Candidate

    Working in Business Support requires teamwork, good organisational skills and a good level of competency using IT systems. You’ll also need:

    • NVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent.
    • Good communication skills because you’ll interact with lots of people across the organisation and externally through phone, in person and email.
    • Minute Taking experience.
    • Good organisation skills and attention to detail, as you’ll be keeping data updated and you will be working to deadlines.
    • A flexible approach to work as sometimes things can change, and so you’ll need to be able to prioritise work and change tasks quickly.
    • Be able to demonstrate 2years workplace administration experience
    • A passion to always give the best service.
