
Business Support Administrator
As part of our busy Business and Executive Support team, you'll play a key role in ensuring a consistent high-level of business support across the council.
We support a number of teams within the Children and Families Service whose mission is to create an environment where families are supported to stay together safely and live well in their communities.
It's a varied role and no two days are the same so we always have to be ready to adapt when demands change.
This role is fixed term until 31/01/27 and the working hours for this role are Monday and Tuesday 8.30 - 5.00 and Wednesday 8.30 - 12.00.
You will be providing all of the administration and business support for the Early Years Forum in East Staffs and Tamworth and assisting other districts as necessary.
This will include;-
- Servicing meetings: coordinating the circulation of agendas and relevant papers; scheduling; attendance at meetings; and taking and distributing appropriate notes.
- Distribution of outcome information.
- Accurately input and maintain electronic information systems ensuring children’s/families/system records are kept up to date.
- Contribute to the development of new processes and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the children’s and family’s system
- Undertake some Customer Care duties.
You'll have:
- Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- GCSE English and Math’s grade C or 4 or equivalent
- previous experience of servicing meetings including note taking.
- good written and oral communication skills at all levels – this post will involve liaison with a range of professionals and members of the public.
- sensitive and attentive listening skills and the ability to accurately record the outcome of discussions and meetings for a diverse audience.
- a flexible approach – demonstrating ability to respond positively to changes in allocation of work at short notice.

- good time management and organisational skills with an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and on own initiative.
