1 Year Fixed Term Contract – Full Time

This is an exciting time to be working for the London Borough of Redbridge, we have an ambitious corporate plan that we are committed to delivering and we are in the process of shaping new work streams to fundamentally change the way that the council works in the future and uses its data. We are strengthening our approach to data and performance management whilst ensuring there is robust visibility of data, and appropriate processes in place deliver our statutory obligations and mitigate risk.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence and Data Officer on a 1 year fixed term basis to lead a central role in monitoring performance, identifying, and advising service weaknesses to support data collation and ensuring compliance to statutory reporting for Education and Inclusion. Skills should include transforming raw data into insightful and user-friendly dashboards including Power BI Development. This role involves working end-to-end from writing SQL queries to extract and shaping datasets, through to designing and publishing final dashboards in Power BI.

The role will lead on the process of enabling intelligence and data provision from our Education systems and will support the service to address and resolve identified issues and prevent the need of further data cleansing by embedding a positive performance management culture where data is recorded in a timely and accurate manner to support decision making and ensure compliance to Statutory Returns duties.
