
Business Analyst
What will you be doing?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Business Analyst working across the Environment and Circular Economy Division, within the Waste Management Service. We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to demonstrate their experience of supporting a divisional approach to data collection, analysis and presentation to aid with decision making and business improvement.
As a business analyst, you will work within the Insight and Development Team to provide ongoing performance monitoring, demand analysis and evidence of progress towards the achievement of targets. Data analysis and insight will also inform modelling for strategy development, compliance with legislative and policy targets, as well as contributing to statutory reporting returns.
You will be an analytical thinker, with excellent data literacy; and be able to research both internal and external data to produce insights in the field of the environment, sustainability and resource (waste) management. You will have experience of presenting and communicating information through different mediums to a variety of internal and external stakeholders; and have a knowledge of the wider challenges and opportunities faced by the public sector, KCC and the Environment and Circular Economy Division .
This is not an IT or system‑focused business analyst role. It is an environment and waste insight role centred on data interpretation, performance monitoring, and supporting policy and strategy development.
This full-time role will be able to utilise hybrid working with a mix of working from the office and from home. The office base will be Sessions House, Maidstone. We reserve the right to close the advert early if we receive a sufficient number of applications.

Salary range
