    We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Benefits Assessment and Financial Inclusion Manager to join West Northamptonshire Council at an exciting time of transformation and opportunity. In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll help ensure vital support reaches residents who need it most, while shaping services that are high‑quality, responsive and sustainable for the future. Working closely with the Revenues and Benefits Service Director, you will play a key part in delivering our vision of making West Northants a great place to live, work and thrive.

    What will you be doing?

    You’ll lead and inspire our Benefits Assessment and Financial Inclusion teams, creating a positive, collaborative culture that delivers excellent outcomes for residents and the Council. From overseeing the effective delivery of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction and financial inclusion support, to driving digital transformation and continuous improvement, you’ll balance strategic thinking with operational leadership. You’ll work closely with colleagues, partners, elected members and the voluntary sector, contributing expertise, ideas and leadership to help shape resilient, customer‑focused services.

With strong experience in benefits, financial inclusion or public‑facing services, you combine sound judgement with empathy, clarity and a commitment to fairness. You’re comfortable leading change, influencing stakeholders and navigating complexity, while keeping residents’ needs at the heart of everything you do.
