Holly Spring Primary School is looking to appoint a highly reliable and efficient Attendance Officer with a strong commitment to pupil wellbeing and achievement. Your role will be to provide support to help the school raise achievement by improving school attendance and punctuality. Please see the job description for full details of the role.

As a critical member of our support team, you'll play a vital role in:

  • Improving student attendance:Ensuring our school meets statutory obligations and targets and maintaining the accurate records needed for this.
  • Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality across the school.
  • Identifying patterns of absence and lateness.
  • Supporting attendance meetings and action plans.
  • Driving school improvement: Contributing to the overall success of our school.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experiencein the role from working in a school or similar setting.
  • Strong organisational skills:Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively, maintaining good attention to detail and working calmly and sensitively under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills:Clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, being able to respond appropriately to diverse and sometimes challenging situations. Confidence when dealing with parents and external agencies
  • Technical proficiency:Good IT skills and the ability to use various software applications.

The role is due to commence as soon as possible. This is a part time, permanent position, with some flexibility around the hours open for mutual agreement.

The hours are 9.30am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only plus inset days as required.
