    An exciting opportunity has emerged to recruit a Senior Attendance Court Officer on a permanent, full-time basis to join our Access to Education Team.

    The Access to Education Team provide advice to attendance and inclusion practitioners on school attendance matters. The team are responsible for the Council’s statutory duties in relation to unsatisfactory school attendance.

    The core objective for the Croydon Access to Education team is that all children and young people are engaged, thrive and achieve their potential through academic and vocational education through regular school attendance.

    The Access to Education Team works with a wide range of schools and practitioners within and external to partners with the core aim of reducing levels of persistent and severe absence, suspension and permanent exclusion experienced by pupils across the county.

    As a Attendance Court Officer you will review cases in line with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, present cases on behalf of Croydon Council at Court and deal with enquiries from colleagues in our service and partner agencies.
