MASH Team – Assistant Team Manager
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and skilled permanent Assistant Team Manager (ATM) within the Wokingham Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH Team) as we transition to our new Integrated Front Door.
The successful applicant will have an essential role to play in the service delivery and development of the team and will supervise a number of Social Workers and Referral Co-ordinators. The Assistant Team Manager will also deputise for the Team Manager, as required.
The Wokingham MASH Team is the front door for Children’s Social Care and Early Help services in Wokingham, working closely with families and partners to ensure children and families receive the right help at the right time. As part of this role, and alongside the team, you will review all new enquiries presenting to the front door, prioritising safeguarding concerns as they arise, ensuring a considered, evidence based and timely response is provided to all presenting needs.
In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, you will be a link with partner agencies. You will facilitate discussions and opportunities to help strengthen partnership working and attend and lead a variety of partnership meetings. You will help support and drive the team’s learning culture and be instrumental in enabling and supporting the ongoing operational development of the team and service as we continue on our journey of change under the Family First Partnership Programme and delivery of Wokingham’s Helping Early strategy.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent knowledge of legislation and levels of need and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, centring and threading family experience, safeguarding duties and best practice throughout. Your ability to prioritise workload and multi-task is a key requirement of the role.
The role is full-time (5 days per week) and is based at the Council Offices in Shute End. We are currently working in a hybrid way – with the expectation for all team members to be in the office at least 3days per week. The successful candidate will need a level of flexibility to support annual leave, sickness, and training.
To enable you to work to your best we will develop you in your role and as part of the team; additional training and support will be provided, and you will have an opportunity to develop the range of interventions and skills you bring to make a difference to children and families.
