Wren’s Nest Primary School is based in the heart of the Black Country in Central Dudley. It is a successful school with a growing pupil roll of 550 pupils from age 2-11 years. We are a dynamic and exciting school with a passion for making a difference and improving outcomes and achievement for every child.

We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to work under the guidance of our Site Manager carrying out a wide range of duties and responsibilities across the school site.

The purpose of this job is to have the specific skills and experience appropriate to the role and is able to demonstrate meeting the person specification.

To become part of our site team as an Assistant Site Manager you will need to have:

  • Competent at basic building repairs, decorating, maintenance and grounds maintenance.
  • Use of small industrial I electrical I mechanical equipment.
  • Willing to undergo training as required.
  • Able to effectively organise and supervise the work of others (such as cleaners and contractors).
  • Able to work effectively with little supervision.
  • Able to understand and apply regulations (such as health & safety, legionella, manual handling regulations etc.)
  • Undertake any other duties, consistent with the nature of the post

The hours are 37 hours per week, based on a 2-week shift pattern of Monday – Friday of 6.45am – 3:30pm or 10:00am – 6:30pm.

  • Opening and Closing for Elections and Lettings
  • Heating
  • Sickness i annual leave cover
  • Deliveries i post
  • Furniture moving
  • Cleaning
  • Energy conservation
  • Emergencies
  • Internal, external and grounds maintenance
  • Flexibility in opening and closing for contractors during school holidays/occasional weekend working
  • Ensuring site is safe for pupils during inclement weather
