
Assistant Sensory Support Co-ordinator

ASSIST provides access and support for people who have hearing and/or vision loss. The service has a focus on supporting adults in community, workplace, and further & higher education settings.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou will:
- help with the day-to-day running of ASSIST, by working together with the Sensory Support Co-ordinators and reporting to the Project Co-ordinator.
- help organise community and education work which involves regular communication with staff, customers and partners.
- need an eye for detail as you create, maintain and update electronic files, paper-based files and Outlook diaries, in a way that everyone in the team can access and understand.
- have the opportunity to develop specialist skills, knowledge and understanding in relation to sensory impairment.
You must have:
- Experience in administration or equivalent qualification
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or high-level computer skills
- Confident and competent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Hearing and vision impairment knowledge would be useful; however, specialist training will be provided in this area if you do not have this knowledge.

Salary range
- £25,989 - £27,254 per year
