Hours: 37 per week. Hybrid working with a minimum 1 day office based per week

About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Planner to join our established and supportive Economic Development and Planning Service, at Stafford Borough Council. This is an ideal opportunity to join a dynamic and forward thinking planning policy team. You’ll be at the heart of a varied and rewarding workload, helping to deliver high‑quality services to our communities whilst contribution to an ambitious planning agenda.
About you
You will be:
- Qualified to degree level or above, in a relevant discipline
- Enthusiastic, interested in planning and willing to learn
- Take a flexible approach to changing priorities and be able to use analytical skills with research and advanced IT tools
- Able to effectively manage your own workload, taking individual responsibility and working as part of a busy team
- Willing to develop up to date knowledge of strategic and policy planning
