The Housing & Environment directorate manages and improves over 17,000 council homes, ensuring that every resident has a safe, warm, and welcoming place to live. We’re committed to resident-led service design, continuous improvement, and the highest standards of compliance and safety.
You’ll rapidly envelop a detailed and accurate picture of the condition of all council-owned stock, and use this insight to develop an effective and comprehensive asset management plan that delivers safe, warm and dry homes for all.
Overseeing a team of 175, with an annual capital budget of c.£45m, you’ll bring an impressive track record of rapid acceleration of improvement, a nuanced grasp of managing major contracts, and a high level of analytical and organisational skill.
