Park Primary School is seeking to appoint a permanent part time Assistant Caretaker to support the Premises Manager and site team in their daily duties, including general maintenance and school security.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, conscientious, proactive and self-motivated, who would like a key role in maintaining and developing our flagship school, to ensure a welcoming, safe and modern environment for the whole school community.
This is an all year round working contract, and the hours of work during term time are 11am -3pm. Some flexibility of the working pattern will be required during the school holidays. Annual leave is to be taken outside of term time.
The role will involve working closely with the Business Manager and Premises Manager, and duties will include:
Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the site
Carrying out routine health and safety and compliance checks
Working effectively as part of a team
Competently carrying out cleaning duties, minor repairs and general maintenance
Acting as a key holder to lock and unlock the school building
Working safely to eliminate or reduce risks
Supervising contractors whilst on site
Attending appropriate training courses, including health and safety awareness, and apply learning to the role
