About the Role

The Combined Authority is in the middle of a critical period of change and growth and we are looking to strengthen the Finance Service at such an exciting time, delivering the new emerging devolved financial management arrangements. As such we are looking for new team members to join us to help influence and shape the future of the service. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development and opportunities that exist both now and in the future.

The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting a comprehensive management accounting service for a range of operational areas within the Combined Authority. Working within the finance team you will be supporting the delivery and provision of a full range of financial support to specific service areas. About the person

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified or equivalent and previous experience within a similar role would be an advantage. They will be able to plan, prioritise and organise their own work load and work to tight deadlines, and will have a commitment to continuous personal and professional development

Required skills and knowledge:

• -Strong written and verbal communication skills
• -Experience in the use and interrogation of financial ledgers
