    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to lead and manage the delivery of a range of priority capital projects across the district of Harborough.

    You will provide full and effective project management throughout the life cycle of the projects whilst consistently ensuring good practice, compliance and appropriate governance are followed providing full audit trails ensuring that excellent standards of customer satisfaction are always maintained.

    You will prepare, provide and present reports including key information to CMT and Members on project status, accounting for project cost, time and risk mitigation and benefits achieved.

    Promoting a positive image of the council both internally and externally, you will liaise with staff in the property team and other service areas as required, manage work and monitor progress.

    Establish and sustain effective working relationships with senior managers and colleagues, provide constructive challenge, professional advice, and support to deliver in line with corporate strategy, and influence and motivate others to achieve this.

    The successful candidate will have effective project management experience through using project management techniques such as PRINCE 2 or equivalent (or be able to demonstrate equivalent aptitude) coupled with relevant, recent experience in delivery of projects and procurement options through open tenders and frameworks.

    You will have experience of work planning and management, and budget administration / monitoring. You will have proven experience of working with computerised systems including diary management and email. Your attention to detail, the ability to learn quickly and your adaptable approach is essential.

    You will need a full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle. The ability to attend out of hours meetings/events on a regular basis is essential.
