Asset Manager

Lead the future of housing asset management in Croydon
We’re looking for a highly skilled Asset Manager to join our Housing Directorate and lead the delivery of a high-performing asset management service that ensures our homes are safe, well-maintained, and fit for the future.

About the role
As our Asset Manager, you will:

  • To take ownership for data collection from our repairs, Fire & Building Safety and Compliance teams to triangulate and identify works prioritisation for programming and budget setting
  • To actively lead on pro-active asset management for the councils HRA portfolio to identify and develop best use of the assets
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team, including Data Analysts and Stock Condition Surveyors.
  • Develop and deliver the Council’s Asset Management Strategy in collaboration with colleagues and residents.
  • Oversee the rolling stock condition survey programme and ensure accurate, high-quality asset data.
  • Manage the production of the housing investment programme and cyclical maintenance plans.
  • Be the lead client for asset data in acquisitions, disposals, and new build projects.

About you

  • Extensive experience in asset management within social housing.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to inspire and coordinate a diverse team.
  • A track record in managing asset data, delivering investment programmes, and achieving service improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to innovate, improve systems, and deliver value for money in housing asset management.
