Hyndburn is a great place to work. Over recent years we’ve established an impressive reputation as a Council with a strong sense of direction and an enviable record for improving services and getting things done. We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team.
An opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic person to work as arboriculture and conservation officer for Hyndburn Borough Council. Based within the parks team, this is a joint role which means the successful candidate will work with planning colleagues approximately one day per week to determine the tree element of planning applications and TPO’s, and the rest of the week managing the Councils tree stock in parks and open spaces.
You will have a qualification in arboriculture and 3 years’ experience working in arboriculture in either the public or private sector. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an award-winning parks team with 11 green flag parks (the most for a local authority in Lancashire) and deal with a wide range of arboriculture work. This is a varied role, but as Hyndburn is a small authority, easily manageable for the right person
If you feel you are up to the challenge of taking on this role within the Parks Service, then please apply via the link below.
