Job title: Apprentice Technical Officer

Qualification – Level 3 Data Technician

Hours - 36 hours

Fixed term - 18 months

Salary - NMW age dependent (breakdown per age group as below)

  • Age 16-17 £14,604 (£7.78 per hour)
  • Age 18-20 £19,335 (£10.30 per hour)
  • Age 21+ £23,615 (£12.58 per hour)

Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career. The programme provides work-based training to those who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.

Planning Services, Technical Support Team, are looking to recruit an Apprentice who is committed and motivated to complete the 18 month programme.

The main duties of the post are: To provide technical support to the Planning Service including the delivery of technical planning, geographical, electronic, performance and administrative information and support. To contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Planning Service ensuring appropriate legislation and policy guidance is taken into account in any decision making; To undertake responsibilities in a professional and flexible manner with a focus on customer care and value for money.

This post is agile, working from Magdalen House, Bootle, L20 3NJ, home and other locations within the borough.
