The successful candidates will work as part of the Streetscene Service delivering grounds maintenance and street cleansing duties Boroughwide in addition to the completion a National Vocational Qualification in Horticulture, delivered via an approved provider.

The job role is based outdoors and involves walking, lifting and the operation of handheld machinery such as pedestrian mowers, strimmers, and hedge trimmers and sucker blowers.

Full training will be provided and there is no requirement for previous experience within this field as this is a learning-based opportunity.

There is no requirement for previous experience within a Streetscene environment as this post offers full training however, the successful candidates will be enthusiastic, self-motivated with a willingness to learn and the ability to integrate within a team.

Completion of an NVQ Framework Diploma in Horticulture in addition to service specific training for handheld plant and machinery.
