The Role:

• The role is an opportunity to take your first steps into a career in Health and Safety.

• The role of the Apprentice Health and Safety Advisor is to provide support to the delivery of the Health and Safety management system.

• You will in this role build relationships with the managers and staff in order to provide advice and guidance on lower risk safety issues.

• You will support the identification and mitigation of potential hazards and risks, supporting the Advisors to provide competent Health and Safety advice across all functions within the Council.

• The role of Apprentice Health and Safety Advisor will assist with the investigations of incidents, produce statistical information, coordination of toolbox talk, workshops and events.

This role is fixed term for the purpose of completing the apprenticeship and a professional Health and Safety qualification. The apprenticeship post will end 24 months from the day you start with us.
