
Alternative Provision Class Teacher
Job introduction
The Governors of Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint a charismatic, highly motivated and nurturing Rocket’s Class Teacher on a fixed term basis. This post is to lead and teach the students in our Rockets Class supported by the SENCO and wider Inclusion team.
About the role
We are looking for a special person who is:
- To join and further develop our nurturing and inclusive culture that strives for children to reach their full potential
- To plan and assess for children working inline with or pre key stage levels
- To plan for, resource and develop a positive, engaging learning environment
- To work with teachers and the SENCO to assess children’s learning
- To plan fun, creative, playful and engaging activities
- To be reflective and flexible
- To work within a team in partnership with the SENCo, class teachers and other colleagues to support the children in reaching their best outcomes
- To dynamically risk assess and manage children’s safety
- To believe in outdoor education and embrace our wonderful grounds and resources
- To follow our Empowerment Approach and School Values to enhance the children’s learning
- To have an understanding of strategies which support SEND learners, such as Just Right, Makaton, Visuals, structure and routine
- To establish positive relationships with parents and families
