Salary: £42,839 to £46,142 per annum, plus £4000 market forces
37 Hours per week
Location: Wildwood
Team: Worcester and Malvern Families First District Team
Fixed Term Contract for 9 - 12 months (Can be secondment if internal)

The Role:
Advanced Social Work Practitioner in the Worcester and Malvern Families First District Team

An opportunity for a 9–12-month secondment for Advanced Social Work Practitioner role has arisen in the Worcester and Malvern Families First District Team. You must have a social work qualification and sufficient experience.

Worcestershire are embarking on our journey through the social care reforms to develop the Families First team. You will be part of a friendly, innovative multi-disciplinary team with the key priority of building on existing strengths within the family in order to manage times of crisis or emerging challenges.

As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner, you will work as one of 4 ASWP supporting your team, the leadership/management team of your District and therefore you will be asked to lead on specific pieces of work or have team champion responsibilities.

There will be an Advanced Social Worker duty system whereby you will work one week on and three weeks off subject to covering each other on the following areas, this will be subject to review.

In order to support you to do the best job possible you will be directly managed and supervised by leaders who are passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children. In terms of the disciplines, the team consists of Social Workers, Outreach Workers, Money Mentor, Family Support Worker, Youth Mentor, Substance Misuse, Emotional Health/Wellbeing Workers, Family Decision Coordinators and Advanced Social Work Practitioners.
