The starting salary for this position is £13,817 per annum based on working 18 hours per week (pro rata to £27,634 full time equivalent).
At Surrey Adult Learning we are looking for an experienced and efficient Administrator to support our service. This opportunity is based at our Woking Adult Learning centre with the expectation of supporting at our other centres if required, so the ability to travel to other centres is a requirement.

About the Role
Surrey Adult Learning has seven dedicated centres in Surrey. It delivers 800 courses comprising both a published course programme and a set of bespoke courses that are designed to meet the needs of individual groups of adults in the community. Delivery takes place in centres, external venues and online.
There are 3 main teams that make up Surrey Adult Learning:
- Curriculum and Learning
- Operations
- Business, Finance and IT
This role sits within the Operations team as part of a small admin team who provide comprehensive administrative support to the wider service and Senior Leadership Team. The role holder may be asked, on occasion, to provide absence cover at any of the Adult Learning centres, on occasion.
Key responsibilities of the Administrator will include:
- Maintaining accurate staff records including training
- Supporting tutors and senior managers with day-to-day operations
- Assisting with recruitment and personnel administration
- Delivering excellent customer service and impartial advice to any enquiry
- Upholding safeguarding and equality standards
Your Application
In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours:
- Level 2 vocational qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong IT and and organisational skills including use of the Microsoft Office package
- Experience in customer service and high-volume data processing
- Ability to multi task and work under own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail
