Job Description
Salary: £26,556 - £28,764 per annum pro rata to contracted hours worked
Grade B
Fixed-Term Contract - 6 months
20 Hours per Week
The Disabled Children Short break & Outreach Service provides respite and support to children, young people, and their families. We are a small team that work closely together to achieve the same outcome of providing a statutory service for the Disabled children and young people within Thurrock.
As a service we need to continue to develop and maintain effective networks with internal agencies to promote the service and deliver information and continue to actively promote The Sunshine Centre through promotional events and distribution of publicity material.
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Act as point of contact for those seeking to register their children on The Disabled children’s Register.
- Maintain the database on Disabled children’s register and use appropriate data bases to extract relevant information as required.
- To provide the manager with relevant data about the service.
- Representative for the Sunshine Centre and to liaise with parent run groups locally to ensure their involvement in the development of information and implantation of services.
- Maintain website for The Sunshine Centre for services for disabled children.
- Disseminate information and ensure that appropriate range of leaflets and information on the Sunshine Centre are provided for within services for Disabled Children.
- To collate evaluation forms from service users on the services that they access at the Sunshine centre.
- To actively promote The Sunshine Centre through promotional events and distribution of publicity material.
- To provide accurate, timely and relevant information and advice whilst respecting the confidentiality of both enquirers and providers.
- To develop and maintain effective networks with internal agencies to promote the service and deliver information.
DBS Check: Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required, at level Enhanced level.
