We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st March 2027
Location: Tredomen House / Agile Working

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £26,403 - £28,142 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Families First team and play a key role in supporting the Joint Assessment Family Framework (JAFF) referral process for early intervention and prevention support.

As the first point of contact for enquiries and referrals, you’ll carry out eligibility checks, triage and progress referrals to the appropriate support services. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external agencies, maintaining accurate records and databases, and providing high‑quality administrative support.

We’re looking for someone organised, confident using IT, and able to work effectively with a wide range of colleagues and partners in a busy environment.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • 5 GCSEs Grade A*-C or equivalent Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, NVQ2 Administration.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience of organising and minuting meetings.
