
Administrative Assistant
We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 21 hours (09:00 – 13:00 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term until 30th April 2026
Location: Ty Iscoed Residential Home
Team: Adult Services

Ty Iscoed Residential Home is looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant for a fixed term period to undertake administrative and financial duties in accordance with Caerphilly County Borough.
The successful candidate must have experience of working in an office environment and be familiar with office software/data systems and have high standards of customer service, good communication and interpersonal skills.
The role includes following financial procedures, maintaining budget control systems and updating records as required. You will communicate, liaise and work effectively in partnership with Individuals, carers, care managers and other relevant professionals and partners internally and externally.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- 5 GCSEs Grade A*-C or equivalent Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales
- Knowledge of administrative systems and procedures.
- Have the ability to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with Individuals, carers/relatives and other professionals.
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal training and development by undertaking and specific training and learning relevant to the post.
